Privacy Policy

This policy covers this website and our handling of customer information. It is separate from what the EmberMap plugin does on your site, which is described above: that data is stored in your database and is never transmitted to us.

What we collect from customers. When you buy a subscription we receive your name, email address, country, and the billing details necessary to process the payment and issue a licence key. We do not receive or store your full card number.

Payment processing. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as Merchant of Record for the sale and handles payment data, invoicing and applicable sales tax or VAT under its own privacy policy.

Licence validation. When you activate a Pro licence, your site contacts our licensing provider to verify the key. This transmits the licence key and the site domain it is being used on. It does not transmit heatmap data, visitor data, or site content.

Support. If you email us, we keep that correspondence so we can help you and refer back to it later.

What we do not do. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not receive your visitors' behavioural data at all.

Your rights. You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — subject to records we are required to keep for tax and accounting purposes. Email support@embermap.io.
